Megan Lockhart is a partner at Lockhart & Powell, where she serves as the firm's Tax Director. She specializes in individual and business tax preparation, tax planning, and consulting, bringing a thoughtful and strategic approach to every client engagement.

A native of Shelbyville, Illinois, Megan met her husband and business partner, Brandon, in high school. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, laying the foundation for a successful career in public accounting.

Megan began her professional journey at Plante Moran, where she focused on serving small businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Her time there helped her develop a deep expertise in tax strategy and client service, which she now brings to her own firm alongside Brandon.

Outside the office, Megan enjoys spending time with her large extended family, Brandon, and their two dogs, Henry and Oswald. She's passionate about the outdoors and can often be found hiking, trail running, cooking, or staying active through various fitness pursuits. Whether it's climbing a mountain or exploring a new trail, Megan thrives in nature and values every opportunity to be outside.

Brandon Lockhart is a partner at Lockhart & Powell, where he specializes in individual and business tax preparation, small business consulting, and also serves as the firm's Chief Financial Officer. With a strong foundation in accounting and finance, Brandon brings both strategic insight and hands-on experience to his clients and colleagues.

Originally from Central Illinois, Brandon graduated from Shelbyville High School, where he met his wife and future business partner, Megan. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois.

Brandon began his career in tax at Deloitte and later at Plante Moran, where he developed an understanding of the profession before purchasing a CPA firm with Megan. Today, he continues to blend technical expertise with a passion for helping small businesses thrive.

Outside of work, Brandon enjoys spending time with his family and their two dogs, Henry and Oswald. An avid outdoorsman, he loves hiking, trail running, fitness activities, and traveling—especially exploring Colorado's 14ers and the diverse landscapes and communities of the western United States.

David Kim is a Tax Preparer at Lockhart & Powell, specializing in individual and business tax preparation. With a strong foundation in tax law and compliance, David is committed to delivering accurate, high-quality service tailored to each client's unique needs.

Originally from South Korea, David earned his bachelor's degree from Busan University and became an Enrolled Agent in 2014. He began his career as a Tax Consultant at Taesung Tax & Accounting, where he spent six years advising clients on a wide range of tax matters. After relocating to the United States, David continued to build his expertise in tax preparation, accounting, and tax resolution.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, traveling, hiking, and playing soccer with his kids. A lover of music, David also enjoys playing the guitar and piano. His faith is a central part of his life, and he is deeply committed to creating a meaningful and joyful life for his family. Recently granted U.S. citizenship, David and his wife are excited to raise their family in the United States and contribute to their community.

Trisha is an Office Manager at Lockhart & Powell, where she combines her strong background in customer service and entrepreneurship with a passion for supporting small businesses and the hardworking people behind them. With a degree in Business Administration, she brings both practical expertise and a people-first approach to her role.

She takes pride in fostering a warm, well-organized environment where clients feel supported and the entire workplace can thrive. The accounting industry allows her to channel her love of detail while helping local businesses—the true heartbeat of the community—grow and succeed.

Trisha first arrived in Colorado Springs in 1989 as a military dependent. Drawn to the energy and character of the area, she settled in the vibrant downtown community more than 20 years ago to raise her family. She is a proud wife, mother of two wonderful daughters, and dog-mom to Clover, the family's gentle Irish setter.

Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, dancing, and engaging in creative projects that spark joy. Truly solar powered, you'll often find her outdoors, having fun in the sun. As a lifelong sports enthusiast, she cheers loudly for her home team—Go Colorado Rockies!
